Introduction
ARV Nepal stands for Alcoholic Recovering Voice Nepal in Short. ARV Nepal is an autonomous, non- profit making service oriented non government organization which is believed to be established in 2007. ARV Nepal is working in the field of alcoholism and drugs with focus in public health, excess use of alcohol, drug users, HIV and AIDS, child exploitation etc that the alcoholism and drugs use can cause and also ARV Nepal has been working thought out different parts of the country to spread awareness and alcohol controlling programs, gathering of all recovering alcoholic in Nepal in one place, service/ counseling for those who want to stop drinking alcohol, helping them in rehabilitation and detoxification.
ARV Nepal is also first organization to established the rehabilitation center for the alcoholics. ARV Nepal has its network with many organizations working in the social sectors like CWIN, Voice of Children, Youth Vision, Narconon Nepal, Richmond Fellowship, Sharathi Nepal and Many More other Government Organizations. ARV Nepal is also running Rehabilitation Center for Alcoholics and Drugs which is in Kapan ,Ram Mandir Kathmandu name as Sober Society.
What does the organization do?
- We have a drop in center in Kathmandu; we give services such as information, health care, treatment, daycare, night care, 24 hours hotline services.
- Counseling one to one, family, and group.
- Every month’s one awareness program.
- Advocacy on alcoholism and HIV/AIDS.
- We have soon opening treatment.
- Family meetings every week.
- Anonymous meeting twice a week.
Vision
ARV Nepal envisions a harmonious group of communities where the individuals are physically, mentally healthy, free from alcoholism problem and other type of drugs problems.

- To collect information regarding alcoholism+ HIV/AIDS and communicating threw a different channel.
- Gathering of all alcoholic recovering in Nepal to help create society to transform and achieve happiness in life.
Opportunities for Youth
Our Moto of organization is “ALCOHOL FREE YOUTH” So most of all of us are youth and youth volunteer. In our board member all are youth. Most of college students are want to join us so we gave them volunteer training for youth
and as there performance we gave them works also. As a concept and tradition of Nepal there are no criteria on alcohol so traditionally most of youth used alcohol. for prevention part we youth member to youth be hand to hand and all the staff are youth so we have great and good opportunities for youth, need of youth volunteers….
